Some recent highlights include:

  • During COVID SIP – Providing breakfast each morning for 40 at the Salinas Warming Shelter

  • During COVID SIP – Providing weekly groceries to nearly 50 vulnerable families

  • During COVID 2021 – Providing weekly groceries to 3 vulnerable families

  • During COVID 2021 - Providing Christmas gifts to 10 vulnerable children

  • During COVID 2021 - Mentoring 2 vulnerable teenagers

  • During COVID 2021 - Providing local shelters and vulnerable families with blankets, jackets, pajamas and socks

  • Providing weekly homework assistance to children living in two local homeless shelters

  • Providing scholarships for three local homeless children to attend summer camp

  • Providing a scholarship for a local homeless child to participate in a sports league

  • Connecting local community members with local agencies working in the community, including the Salinas Family Resource Center, the Salinas Warming Shelter, and a local women’s shelter

Our goal in 2022 is to increase the number of scholarships available to local homeless children that we have built a relationship with. This would allow them to participate in camps and sports leagues, and will include registration fees, transportation, and gear, if needed.
