Our Vision
Empowering the Orphans of Nimule, South Sudan, One by One
In 2005 when Pastor Juma John resettled with his church into the town of Nimule from a refugee camp in Uganda, homeless children came to him looking for help. Some had lost their parents in the war or by disease, some had been abandoned, some had been the victims of abuse. Responding with the compassion of Christ, his church took them in, initially providing a weekend feeding program. Out of a desire to come along side this needy orphanage in Nimule, and a vision that was embraced by those who love God and want to lead lives that impact others, They Are One came to be.
